Review on the Hysterical Phenomena
Lee Byung-Wook

Abstract
It is not too much to say that hysteria is the originator of modern dynamic psychiatry, because Freud began his work with the study of hysteria. And thereafter he pioneered in the research of psychodynamic facors of the human mind. Although we are indebted to him for a sense of the expanded knowledge of human psyche, it is true that nowadays many psychiatrists are not concerned with these hysterical phenomena. The more modern psychiatry inclines toward objective phenomenological behavioral characteristics. And the subjective aspects of the mind seems to be disregarded than before. Today modern psychiatrists have ambivalent attitude toward biology and psychology, but it is immaterial what names are assigned to the hysterics. The most important thing is the viewpoint that they are not something with various phenomena. But a person with various conflicts. And now it is a matter of regret that many hysterics are not treated carefully by many biology-oriented psychiatrists.
